Let’s get this straight from the start:
I’m not a counselor.
I’m not a therapist.
I’m not a psychiatrist.
What I am is a teacher—with 30 years of experience across all ages and settings, from early childhood through adult education. And what I’ve learned, over and over, is this: we keep using the same strategies on kids who need something different.
That’s what led me to the field of educational neuroscience.
I realized the systems we had in place weren’t built to support kids with trauma, ADHD, autism, or emotional and behavioral challenges. And the more I dug into the brain science, the more clear it became: learning is biological. Every time you learn something, your brain changes shape. That process—called neuroplasticity—is the foundation of everything I do.
In the field of educational neuroscience, there are researchers, and there are a few practitioners.
I’m a practitioner. I take the science and apply it in real-world settings—with students, teachers, families, and systems.
I’ve worked with hundreds of children, many of whom were labeled “difficult,” “oppositional,” or “behind.” But I saw something else: a brain trying its best to survive in a world that didn’t understand it.
When we understand the biology of behavior, we stop blaming.
We stop shaming.
And we start building real strategies that work.
What I teach is rooted in neuroscience—how the brain processes stress, trauma, motivation, focus, and change.
I teach kids how their brain works, so they can build confidence and emotional regulation.
I coach parents who are overwhelmed, helping them move from confusion to clarity.
I train teachers to stop managing behavior and start understanding the brain beneath it.
I help adults build the executive functioning skills they never got support for as kids.
Whether I’m coaching a teen, training educators, building mental resilience with athletes or working with inmates and recovering addicts, the goal is always the same:
To give people the tools to rewire their brain for the life they want.

👩🏫 Professional Development for Educators
40% of today’s students are neurodivergent.
That’s not a challenge—it’s an opportunity to teach with intention.
I train teachers in neuroscience-based strategies to support all learners. Once we understand the brain, we understand behavior. Research indicates the more educators understand the neuroscience of learning; teacher confidence and morale rise along with teacher efficacy.
Because it’s not behavior charts and consequences.
It’s not reward systems or sticker charts.
It’s real brain science.
It’s shifting the system—not just managing the symptom.
And the best part?
The brain can change. For kids. For adults. For you.
That’s neuroplasticity.
That’s hope backed by science.
